How does website change monitoring work?
You add a URL and choose how often to check it, from once a day up to every 15 minutes depending on your plan. We fetch the page in the background on that schedule and compare it to the last version we saw. If anything changed, you get an email showing exactly what changed.
Can I track just one part of a page, like a price?
Yes. Use the visual element picker to click the exact part of the page you care about — a price, a stock badge, a headline — instead of the whole page. That way you’re not notified about unrelated changes, like a rotating banner or a "last updated" timestamp.
Is Web Change Monitor free?
There is a free plan with no credit card required: 5 monitors, checked every 6 hours or daily (1 of them can be a dynamic, JavaScript-rendered page). If you need more, Starter ($4/month) gives you 10 monitors (2 dynamic) checked as often as hourly, and Pro ($8/month) gives you 25 monitors (5 dynamic) checked as often as every 15 minutes. Can it tell me if a site is down?
Yes. Create an uptime monitor instead of a content monitor and we check that the site loads on your schedule. If it goes down you get an alert, and another one when it’s back up. To rule out a brief network blip we wait for two failed checks in a row before alerting.
Do I need to install a browser extension?
No. Everything runs in the cloud on our servers — just sign in, paste a URL, and you’re done.
Does it work on sites built with JavaScript, like React or Vue apps?
Yes. Web Change Monitor automatically detects when a page needs JavaScript to render its content and loads it like a real browser would before checking for changes. Rendering these dynamic pages is costly, so each plan includes a set number of them: 1 on Free, 2 on Starter and 5 on Pro.
Is my monitored data private?
Yes. You sign in with your Google account, and the URLs you track are private to your account only.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
