1. Who we are

Web Change Monitor is a website monitoring service that notifies you when a webpage changes. It is operated as a personal project. For any questions, contact info@webchangemonitor.com.

2. What data we collect

• Email address — collected when you sign in with Google, used to identify your account and send you notifications.
• URLs you monitor — the web addresses you add to the service, along with labels and check frequency settings you configure.
• Subscription status — if you buy a paid plan, we store which plan you have and the reference IDs Paddle assigns to your customer record and subscription.

We do not collect or store your payment card or billing details. Those are collected by Paddle when you subscribe (see section 4). We do not collect any other personal information.

3. How we use your data

• To provide the service — monitoring the URLs you add and detecting changes.
• To send you email notifications when a change is detected on a monitored URL.
• To identify your account and keep your data separate from other users.
• To apply the limits of your plan.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Web Change Monitor:

• Google OAuth — for authentication. Your sign-in is handled by Google. We only receive your email address.
• Supabase — for database storage and authentication infrastructure. Your email and monitored URLs are stored in Supabase.
• Resend — for sending email notifications when a change is detected. Your email address is passed to Resend solely for this purpose.
• Vercel — for hosting the application.
• Paddle — our payment provider and Merchant of Record for paid plans. When you subscribe, Paddle collects your payment details, billing address and email as the seller of record, and handles taxes, invoices and refunds. Paddle acts as an independent controller of that data under its own privacy policy.

5. Data retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Check history (snapshots and screenshots) is deleted automatically after 12 months. You can delete your monitored URLs at any time from the dashboard. To request full account deletion, contact us at info@webchangemonitor.com.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@webchangemonitor.com.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
