Terms of Service

Last updated: September 20, 2026

1. About the service

Web Change Monitor (the “Service”, “we”, “us”) is a website monitoring service that checks web pages you choose and notifies you when they change or, in uptime mode, when they go down or come back up. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. Your account

You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live.

3. Acceptable use

  • Only monitor pages you are allowed to access, and make sure your monitoring complies with those sites’ own terms.
  • Do not use the Service to overload, attack, or bypass access controls on any website, or for anything illegal.
  • Do not abuse the Service’s infrastructure, for example by automating account creation or by circumventing plan limits.

We may limit or suspend accounts that break these rules.

4. Plans and billing

The Service has a free plan and paid plans, with the monitor limits and check frequencies shown on the pricing page.

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • Payments are handled by our payment provider and Merchant of Record, Paddle. Paddle is the seller of record for your purchase, charges applicable taxes, issues your invoice, and its terms apply to the purchase.
  • You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • We may change prices or plan limits. We will give you notice before a change affects your subscription.

5. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

6. Availability and accuracy

We do our best to check your pages on schedule, but checks can be delayed, missed, or fail, for example when a site blocks automated access, is unavailable, or renders content in ways we cannot capture. Notifications can also be delayed or not delivered. Do not rely on the Service as the only safeguard for anything critical or time-sensitive.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the URLs, labels and settings you add. You allow us to process them, and to store snapshots of the pages you monitor, solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed opportunities or changes you did not get notified about, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

9. Ending your use of the Service

You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account at info@webchangemonitor.com. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms. If we discontinue the Service, we will cancel active subscriptions so that you are not charged further.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
